David was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia. He moved to the United States at the age of 9. His introduction to dance came at the age of 17 after being a part of his high school musicals. He kept dancing at a local dance studio and later continued during college.
During his third year at Providence College David was given the opportunity to do a term abroad at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance in London, where he went on to complete his BA (Hons) in Contemporary Dance and his Master of Arts in Dance Performance, which included being a part of Transitions Dance Company, a graduate dance company that toured its triple bill around the United Kingdom and Europe.
During his short time dancing David has been very fortunate to have worked with and performed pieces by choreographers including Wayne McGregor, Sir Matthew Bourne, Izadora Weiss, Oded Ronen, Cristian Duarte, Charles Linehan, Theo TJ Lowe, Joe Wild, and Adam Rutherford throughout Europe.
David recently moved to Miami after his time in Europe and is now a freelance dancer there, currently dancing with Pioneer Winter Collective and Rosie Herrera Dance Theatre.
